I’ve lived in this community for over eight years with my wife, Belinda. It’s been an integral part of our lives and where we have chosen to raise our two daughters.

With more than 20 years of experience in hospitality - as an apprentice, chef, in customer service, and now a business development manager in the food service industry - I have developed a strong understanding of the values of honesty, hard work, and a people-first mentality.

These values fuel my commitment to serving our community, which includes families, retirees, business owners, and investors. I understand the challenges posed by rising living costs and the issues stemming from poorly maintained roads and infrastructure delays.

I am dedicated to addressing our community’s needs, particularly in alleviating the cost of living.

I will also fight to fix our broken hospital system, enhance community safety with a greater local police presence, and reduce the pressure on local small businesses by cutting red-tape and over-regulation.

I have the energy and experience to represent you in the State Parliament.

A Mettam Liberal Government will raise the Patient Assistance Travel Scheme (PATS) to $0.40/km and increase the nightly accommodation allowance to $150, providing greater support for regional West Australians accessing essential healthcare.

Our plan also includes equipping St John Ambulance sub-centres with high-speed satellite internet, enhancing regional ambulance services, and improving patient transport across the Wheatbelt. 🚑🌾

The Mettam Liberal Government is tackling WA’s expensive and complex fishing licence system. Currently, WA’s licences are 7 times more expensive than NSW!

Under our new plan, fishers could save up to $250 a year by streamlining the licence system – covering all types of fishing with just one licence.

With so many of us in the Butler electorate, living along the coast and passionate about fishing, this is a real game-changer!

It’s time to make fishing more affordable while continuing to support vital programs like Recfishwest.

This morning, I was at the sod-turning ceremony for the Alkimos Aquatic and Recreation Centre—great to catch up with the @mayor_linda_wanneroo , @paulmiles4mindarie and Councillor Sonet Coetzee.

What was telling?

Premier Cook didn’t bother showing up, and the Keep the Sheep crew are still pushing back after being ignored once again by the Prime Minister.

It’s clear—Labor loves the photo ops but doesn’t care about the real issues. When they make political decisions that impact people’s lives, they leave everyday West Aussies in the dust.

Crime is spiraling out of control in WA, with regional areas seeing record-high crime rates and a 44% spike in domestic violence cases.

Despite promises, the WA Labor government has failed to boost police numbers, leaving WA with fewer officers per capita than when they took office.

Over 1,000 officers have resigned in the past two years, and Labor’s shortfall of 458 officers means crime is overwhelming regions like the Goldfields and Kimberley.

The WA Liberals will fix this by prioritizing police welfare, tackling cultural issues within the force, and ensuring proper staffing to protect our communities.

Mark Anthony Unchango, a registered sex offender, was denied bail after violently assaulting a woman in Joondalup. He had been released just weeks earlier on a supervision order for a previous crime.

Liberal Leader Libby Mettam said, “Crime is out of control, and yet Roger Cook is in denial while John Quigley seems to have checked out.”

WA Labor prioritizes offenders’ rights over community safety.

The WA Liberals are committed to action, pledging $100 million to expand GPS tracking for offenders and ensure repeat offenders are monitored.

Western Australians deserve more retail choice and flexibility, especially on Sundays. While other states have moved to flexible trading hours, WA still restricts when shops can open.

The WA Liberals will deregulate trading hours, starting with Sunday openings at 9am in metro areas, giving businesses and customers more freedom to shop and trade.
